ROLE DETAILS
PURPOSE OF ROLE
The Production Data Analyst will work in Cairo, supporting the Production Manager to:
- Support the timely reporting production related results in Company's database.
- Support the coordination of the budgeting and planning functions with reliable and consistent production data.
- Support Reserves Reporting, Subsurface Benchmarking, and Portfolio Analysis.
- Integrate data types such as production, pressures, etc. to present meaningful insights using industry-standard data visualization tools. Perform quality checks and connect with relevant stakeholders for verification/rectification.
- Provide data analytics and trending to derive insights, support decision-making and identify improvement opportunities.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES
Non-Operated Producing Assets:
- Maintain and the Capricorn production database
- Prepare production reports to ensure consistent internal reporting process, supporting planning
- Monitor production data to analyse and understand variances and provide input to engagement with the Operator
- Perform well monitoring activity to undertake problem well diagnostics and rectification recommendations, identifying underperforming wells and options for increasing productivity.
- Support the production and development assets in Egypt and the delivery of production reports for the Obaiyed, BED, NEAG and AESW concessions.
Corporate Activities:
- Contribute to the Capricorn budgeting and planning process
Education /experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Petroleum/Chemical/Mining/Mechanical Engineering
Relevant skills / experience
Technical
- Building and populating production database
- Excellent understanding of performance data and integration to identify opportunities for production enhancement. Broad suite of production management skills. Operated experience working within mature, onshore assets to arrest field declines would be advantageous.
- Ability to work on multiple-fields with large volumes of production and injection data using Oil Field Manager (OFM) or equivalent.
- Understanding of classifying and reporting of reserves and resources in accordance with PRMS.
- Understanding of production technologies and approaches to production optimization and enhancement
Commercial
- Understanding of how economics drives well investment and activity.
